Welcome to Steve's APBA-compatible Card Computer
Version 5.6.13 Last updated 1/23/2021
Version 5.6.13 added a "Print Card" button
Version 5.6.12 fixed bug getting league average pitching stats
Version 5.6.11 revises 31s again, making the criteria a little looser to give 3 31s more often
Version 5.6.10 revises 24s. There should be fewer 24s now for higher DP guys
Version 5.6.9 adds 2020 - gotta love the small sample sizes!
Version 5.6.8 adds bio data for 2019 - ready for opening day 2020
Version 5.6.7 assign a 29 at 12 if the GiDPs are low enough
Version 5.6.6 tried to be better about assigning 31s
Version 5.6.5 Finally got around to implementing a moveable 12, after figuring out a clever (read:"easy") way to do it without breaking other things. The 12 position should be what APBA used in the original print for the season (except for 1950, which used different 12 positions for AL and NL).
Version 5.6.4 fix for Internet Explorer not implementing something I used in 5.6.3
Version 5.6.3 accommodates more complex position strings when computing error and rare play numbers
Version 5.6.2 adds bio data for 2017 and 2018
Version 5.6.1 fixes headaches caused by Joe Maddon moving his pitchers to the outfield.
Version 5.6 adds 1903-1949 data.
Version 5.5.2 gives an actual error number.
Version 5.5.1 fixes a couple of bugs. One 11 is now given to deserving players regardless of other hits. (See, for instance, 2016 Jimmy Rollins.) A bug in the result placement procedure caused far-ranging problems, mostly too few 13s being given to players like 2017 Judge, which is now fixed and makes Judge's card look silly.
Version 5.5 loads from the new-style Baseball Reference site.
Version 5.4 will display all the cards for your "Selected Players" list. Scroll the page down to see them. You can print these cards from your browser, 9 to a page.

To use the card computer:
Select a year from the season dropdown menu and then
select a player from the list to the left of the card, OR
Fill in the top areas yourself to create a card matching
what ever stats you desire. The card should change automatically
in response to your stat inputs.
The box below the player list is your Selected Players list. "Add" adds the selected player and year to the list. "Delete" deletes the selected player in your Selected Players list from the list. "Save" saves the Selected Players list. "Restore" restores the last saved Selected Players list.
"Make One Column Cards" will force the cards to be computed without using the second column. (Hat tip to Bob Godby for suggesting this option!)
"TBL Grades" will display TBL-style pitcher grades instead of Basic game pitching grades.
"Card font" will change the font the card display uses.
Thanks for visiting!
